Stefan Kristinkov:
After Noon Dreams
After Noon Dreams
Date: Dec 2010

This CD-single features two 12-tone serial compositions written, arranged and performed by Stefan Kristinkov. The first, called After Noon Dreams was written in 2003. It incorporates the 12-tone serial composition technique in a jazz-fusion piece and creatively utilizes improvisation on pitch collections that follow the 12-tone matrix. The second piece is an etude from the cycle of 14 Serial Etudes for Clarinet Solo, written between 2003 and 2010. It is a dreamy, dialogue-like solo piece that overall mood complements the album title.
